Job summary

Springfield Technical Community College is seeking a part-time Clinical Laboratory Assistant to support the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. The role reports to the Program Coordinator and Dean of SHPS, assisting with laboratory activities, instruction, and student feedback.

Responsibilities include supervising lab sessions, maintaining equipment, and participating in assessments and documentation. Applicants must be MA-licensed OT or OTA and able to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Qualifications

• Licensure in MA as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Strong knowledge of OT interventions and assessments.
• Ability to document and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, guidance and instruction to students in the lab.
• Offer timely feedback on student work to the primary instructor.
• Supervise open lab times and maintain safety of equipment.
• Assist faculty in evaluating student performance through clinical competencies.
