Job summary

Jupiter Power LLC seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize our Hyper‑V based virtualization, Windows Server, Linux, and storage environments from our Austin, TX office. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security for compute and storage platforms supporting critical business applications.

The role requires 5+ years of hands‑on infrastructure experience, strong Hyper‑V and storage expertise, and the ability to automate tasks with PowerShell,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering or systems administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Hyper‑V (Failover Clustering, SCVMM a plus).
• Production experience with Windows Server and at least one major Linux distribution.
• Proven experience managing enterprise storage (SAN/NAS) including multipathing and performance tuning.
• Ability to script and automate using PowerShell or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Hyper‑V environments (standalone and clustered).
• Administer and support Windows Server and major Linux distributions in production.
• Manage enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS) including provisioning, replication, and data protection.
• Implement backup, DR, and BC solutions for virtualized and physical workloads.
• Monitor infrastructure health with tools like System Center, Prometheus/Grafana; automate routine tasks with PowerShell/Bash/Ansible.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams; participate in on‑call rotations.
