Job summary

Dura-Line is seeking an experienced Operational Technologies (OT) Engineer to support and expand connectivity across our manufacturing operations. You will bridge shop-floor OT systems with enterprise IT to ensure reliable, secure production data flows used by engineering, operations, and leadership to drive decisions.

This role requires collaborating with engineering, maintenance, operations and IT teams across multiple facilities, configuring Ignition SCADA, historian platforms like Canary/PI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Controls Systems, Industrial Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years OT/industrial automation experience.
• Ignition SCADA configuration, admin, dev, or support.
• Experience with historian platforms like Canary/PI/Wonderware.
• Knowledge of OPC, industrial networking, and data acquisition.
• Hands-on with PLC-controlled equipment and shop-floor networking.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support communications between manufacturing equipment, OT systems, and enterprise IT.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Ignition applications and integrations.
• Administer and support historian platforms (Canary, PI Historian, Wonderware).
• Ensure data accuracy and availability across OT systems.
• Select I/O and connectivity hardware for data acquisition.
• Support integration and troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment.
• Develop OT standards, docs, and best practices for scalability.
• Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, IT and vendors.
• Influence equipment selection to meet future data needs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve performance and visibility.
• Provide technical guidance to plant maintenance and engineering teams.
• Support multiple facilities with remote and onsite work.
