Job summary

Carenursingcenter in Brownwood, TX seeks a compassionate Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team and help residents achieve independence and improved quality of life.

You will administer treatments, work under a supervising OT, and support patients, families, and caregivers while ensuring care plans are followed and documented accurately. Texas licensure is required, with SNF experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OT license and COTA credential required.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health documentation system preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying needs and personalities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT according to physician orders.
• Relay service requests to the OT and ensure treatment aligns with the plan of care.
• Deliver treatments as established in the care plan and document thoroughly.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to interventions and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director designated meetings.
