Job summary

Mountainside Nursing Home in Mountainside, NJ is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support our Rehabilitation Department. You will help patients recover through individualized therapies focusing on daily living, mobility and cognitive skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred.
• Current OTA certification in New Jersey required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct occupational therapy sessions, including exercises and activities to promote progress.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the occupational therapist.
• Participate in interprofessional team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatment sessions and progress.
