Job summary

Mountainside Nursing Home in Mountainside, New Jersey, is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Rehabilitation Department. You will assist therapists, conduct sessions, and help patients regain daily living skills and mobility.

Qualifications

• OTA certification in New Jersey is required.
• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct occupational therapy sessions, including exercises, activities, and interventions to promote patient progress.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the occupational therapist.
• Participate in interprofessional team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatment sessions and progress.
