Job summary

ManhattanView Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Union City, NJ, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support residents under the supervision of a Registered OT. The role involves executing individualized treatment plans, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting therapeutic groups.

You will work with the rehabilitation team to provide high-quality care, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program; must be certified or eligible for certification.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the OT; provides OT treatments.
• Performs activities of daily living evaluations and ROM exercises.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups under supervision of OT.
• Educates residents, families, and caregivers in OT techniques.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to develop resident-specific programs.
• Maintains documentation for all residents treated.
• Attends care meetings representing occupational therapy.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports repairs.
• Ensures high quality service in a caring environment.
