Job summary

MercyOne is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team in the Quad Cities area. You will assist licensed therapists across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, home health, and outreach settings, serving neonatal to geriatric populations.

You will provide treatment under State guidelines, document accurately, and support reassessment activities to ensure high-quality care. A 36-hour week with a day shift is offered, with opportunities for professional growth within MercyOne

Qualifications

• 2 year Occupational Therapy college program or equivalent experience.
• Iowa state license.
• Basic Life Support within 6 months of employment.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in providing treatment to patients in settings that may include inpatient, outpatient, long term care, home health care and/or outreach services in the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations
• Provide treatment independently according to State practice guidelines
• Be responsible for assisting the therapist in reassessment
• Complete necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner
