Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to support acute care services. You will implement treatment plans, monitor progress, educate patients and families, and coordinate discharge planning on-site.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.
• Certified Rehab Therapist (COTA) credentialed by the Texas Board within 6 months of hire date.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentialed by the Texas Board within 6 months of hire date.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Implements an established treatment plan and documents patient progress.
• Monitors patient response and communicates progress to the occupational therapist.
• Educates patient and family about deficits and discharge planning.
• May oversee therapy technicians per regulations and standards.
