Job Description

To deliver prompt and courteous service to guests, ensuring that food and beverage orders are completed efficiently and accurately, and maximizing guest satisfaction in a consistent, controlled environment.

Responsibilities

1. Greet all guests promptly in a friendly manner and be knowledgeable about all outlets and hotel services.
2. Offer food menus and take food orders for hors d’oeuvres.
3. Maintain a clean physical appearance and ensure the bar meets all specifications, including hotel and health standards.
4. Attend department meetings regularly.
5. Deliver beverages to guests, monitor drinks, and anticipate guest needs.
6. Handle all open checks and process payments accurately.
7. Prepare drinks, fulfill guest and server orders efficiently.
8. Offer prompt refills within one minute of drink being empty.
9. Ensure proper payment procedures when guests depart.
10. Maintain extensive knowledge of spirits, beers, and wines offered at each bar.

Qualifications

1. Knowledge of local liquor laws and enforcement.
2. Valid alcohol training certification (TABC) and food handlers training certification.
3. Ability to operate POS systems (e.g., Micros) for ringing up orders.
4. Previous cash handling experience preferred.
5. Adherence to all cash handling policies.
6. Previous bartending experience preferred.
7. Maintain liquor par levels and make daily requisitions for bottle exchanges.
8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
