Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Research Scientist to lead and execute osteosarcoma-focused projects within a collaborative laboratory. You will design experiments, analyze complex data, and translate findings into manuscripts and grants.

The Levi Laboratory collaborates across surgeons, cancer biologists, neuroscientists, and computational scientists to advance therapies for cancer and musculoskeletal disease.

Qualifications

  • Education: PhD with major course work or Master/Bachelor with major course work in the field of assignment.
  • Experience: 5 years of research experience with PhD or 7 years with Master or 9 years with Bachelor.
  • Strong background in cancer biology and vertebrate models.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes coordinates, directs, and personally participates in assigned scientific or medical research project.
  • Reviews and analyzes resulting research data; revises techniques as needed.
  • Prepares publications, reports, and abstracts for publication.
  • Designs and develops equipment and SOPs for experiments.
  • Mentors technicians and laboratory personnel; ensures biosafety compliance.
  • Interprets data and communicates results to team and collaborators.
