Qualifications

  • Demonstrated teaching excellence in Osteopathic Principles and Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
  • Progressively responsible experience in osteopathic medical education.
  • Experience with COCA accreditation, self-study, and continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for OMM/OPP education aligned with BSOM's osteopathic identity.
  • Lead design, integration, assessment, and improvement of the OMM/OPP curriculum across all four years.
  • Promote integration of osteopathic principles across preclinical and clinical education, including clerkships and residency training.
  • Lead, recruit, mentor, and evaluate OMM faculty and support faculty development.
  • Participate in teaching OMM laboratories, lectures, and clinical skills.
  • Mentor students in osteopathic identity, professional formation, and career development.
  • Provide administrative leadership for the Department of OMM with resources, facilities, scheduling, and assessments.
  • Ensure COCA accreditation standards and institutional policies are met; contribute to accreditation activities.
  • Develop partnerships to expand osteopathic clinical practice opportunities.
  • Promote osteopathic research and scholarly activity with faculty and students.
  • Align mission with SOM goals and Benedictine College's Catholic tradition.
