Qualifications

  • MD/DO/PhD or comparable degree with medical education experience.
  • Experience with COMLEX-USA preparation or similar readiness assessments.
  • Record of leadership in medical education or health professions education.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Department of Medical Education, including faculty, staff, programs, resources, and budget.
  • Oversee student academic success, progression, remediation, advising, and early intervention for students at academic risk.
  • Supervise the Assistant Dean of Learning Outcomes and Data Analytics and ensure effective assessment of course, programmatic, and institutional learning outcomes.
  • Use educational data and KPIs to evaluate student achievement, curriculum effectiveness, remediation, retention, board readiness, and overall program performance.
  • Oversee the quality and coordination of didactic courses, laboratories, clinical skills, simulation, academic support, and other assigned educational experiences.
  • Lead a longitudinal board preparation program for COMLEX-USA Level 1, COMAT examinations, COMLEX-USA Level 2-CE, and other examinations.
  • Collaborate with academic leaders to maintain an integrated, student-centered curriculum.
  • Inform continuous quality improvement, accreditation, strategic planning, and resource allocation through assessment findings.
  • Promote osteopathic medical education, Catholic bioethics, accountability, and student success.
  • Provide administrative oversight of BSOM Department of Research with data analytics and research priorities.
  • Participate in teaching activities and serve on college and institutional committees.
