Job summary

The candidate will capture GPS coordinates, take photos of field elements, and convert notes into geospatial formats (KMZ/KML). Travel for short business trips and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FTTP/GPON design is a plus.

TheOSPFieldEngineerperformsfieldsurveysandcollectsdatatosupport

Thisroledocumentsexistingaerialandundergroundutilityconditions,validatesroutes,capturesmeasurements,andensuresallinformationrequiredforaccuratedesignandpermittingiscollected.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Performfieldwalkstodocumentpoles,underground(UG)paths,utilities,right-of-way(ROW)boundaries,andsiteconditions.
• Capturerequiredphotos,includingpoletags,poleheights,cablelabels,MPOE,handholes,anchors,clearances,andobstructions.
• Measurespans,attachmentheights,mid-spanclearances,andaccuratelyrecordGPScoordinates.
• TakedetailedfieldnotesfollowingOSPDesignPrinciplesandmaintainaccurateroutedocumentation.
• ConvertfieldnotesintoGoogleEarth/KMZformat(preferred).
• Identifyconstructabilityissues,easements,utilityconflicts,andpermittingrequirements.
• UploadandmanagefielddatausingplatformssuchasKatapultProorIQGEO.
• CommunicatefieldfindingswithProjectManagers,Engineeringteams,andotherstakeholders.

Qualifications:

• ExperienceinOSPfielding,telecommunicationsconstruction,orutilitysurveyingpreferred.
• AT&Texperienceispreferred(IFP,ASE,andGPONexposureisaplus).
• KnowledgeofGoogleEarthwiththeabilitytocreateoreditKMZ/KMLfilesisaplus.
• UnderstandingofFTTxandAT&TGPONdesignisanadvantage.
• MustbelegallyauthorizedtoworkintheUnitedStates.
• Abilitytoworkoutdoorsinvariousweatherconditionsandperform physicallydemandingfieldtasks.
• Validdriver'slicenseandreliabletransportation.

• Flexibletotravelforshortbusinesstripsandoccasionalweekendwork(rare).
