Immediate Hiring For A OSP Project Manager – Lancaster, PA

Location: This role will consist of both on-site in office and traveling to other sites located in either York or Lancaster County.

Job Type: Full-time salaried exempt.

Compensation: $90K to $125K with benefits including 401K & PTO.

Job Overview:

As an OSP (Outside Plant) Project Manager, you will oversee aerial and underground crews performing new construction builds and maintenance. You will provide direct support to other functional project teams in the planning and execution of the job, including resolving issues, managing resources, coordinating projects, interfacing client representatives, overseeing project accounting, training, mentoring and coaching. Additionally, you will also be responsible for managing third party suppliers and overall project performance and you may also have authority to develop proposals and assign projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plans, monitor, and report on project status and performance data to management and stakeholders.
  • Participate in executive level multi-stakeholder conflict resolution and avoidance to ensure efficient productivity and completion of projects.
    Monitor, manage, develop and implement risk mitigation plans and communicate risk for both self-performed and subcontracted work across all phases of complex and/or multiple projects.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and data mining to identify, measure, monitor, validate and enumerate existing and emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Implement infrastructure and processes to enable deployment against project demands.
  • Manage a small team; OR be an individual contributor with responsibilities for providing guidance or leading complex initiatives.
  • Ensures team goals, roles, protocols, and business relationships are consistent with high-performance requirements and congruent with the company's strategy.
  • Promotes accountability, and assertively offers encouragement and constructive feedback.
  • Manage additional resources assigned to an initiative/project, dependent on scope, including hiring, training, mentoring, and assignment of work.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration and a minimum of 5 to 8 years of current and relevant experience.
  • Experience managing mid-scale projects and advanced knowledge of construction and utility industry practices.
  • Outstanding leadership skills and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build an instant rapport and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills to handle several projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload and identify and resolve issues with customer timely and effectively.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Must have knowledge of scheduling software, such as critical path scheduling or other scheduling software and excellent computer skills using the MS Office Suite of Tools.
  • Must have the ability to possess excellent communication skills and the ability to write, speak and communicate fluent English.
  • Must be willing to travel 50% to 60%.
  • Successful candidates will be subject to complete and maintain a successful completion of drug screen, background and MVR check.
  • Successful candidates will be required to maintain a valid driver's license.
Physical Demand & Work Environment:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, squat, stoop, twist, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Must have the ability to move from place to place within the work environment.
  • Must be able to stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
