Job summary

GoNetspeed is seeking an OSP Licensing & Permitting Specialist to obtain and manage permits for fiber and utility projects. You will coordinate with municipalities, utilities, and regulatory agencies to keep projects on schedule.

Join a fast-paced team focused on compliance, documentation, and effective communication to ensure timely permit approvals and successful project delivery. You will mentor junior coordinators and maintain permit logs while supporting audits and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of experience in OSP permitting, joint-use licensing, or telecom utility coordination.
• Strong knowledge of OSP construction and permitting requirements.
• Experience with Make Ready Engineering and pole loading analysis.
• Proficient with permitting databases and tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Determines required permits based on project scope, OSP design, and jurisdiction
• Performs jurisdictional research
• Prepares, submits, tracks, and closes permits and applications for OSP construction (fiber, conduit, aerial and underground facilities)
• Reviews engineering and construction/permit drawings for permitting compliance
• Ensures compliance with Right-of-Way (ROW), easement, and environmental requirements
