Job summary

Mountain Ltd. in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Road Move Inspector to ensure underground, buried and aerial facilities meet current standards through field inspections.

The OSP Inspector III will document inspections, audits and pole transfers electronically, communicate by email and phone, and may travel on short notice while guiding a team of inspectors and coordinating with client and vendor management. The role requires experience in NESC inspections, pole ground line work, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew.
• Experience with wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficiency in OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows XP, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with mapping tools such as Microsoft MapPoint.
• Familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing.
• Good communication skills.
• Personal time management and organization skills.
• Construction contractor management skills.
• Experience in managing teams of inspectors and their workflow.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

The OSP Inspector will be responsible to ensure that all the client's underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet the current standards through inspections, and corrections work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email, and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually by the use of printed spreadsheets. The OSP Inspector III will have experience managing teams of inspectors and be comfortable with interfacing with client management and vendor management to
