Job summary

Mountain Ltd. in Moscow, ID is seeking an OSP Construction Inspector to ensure that underground, buried, and aerial facilities meet current standards through inspections and corrective work performed by contractors.

The Inspector will document inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and communicate via email and phone; occasional manual data entry and GPS/mapping usage are required.

Qualifications

• Experience performing NESC inspections or on an aerial cable line crew.
• Experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficiency in OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer experience: Windows XP, Excel and Outlook.
• Familiar and comfortable with internet usage and web browsing.
• Good communication skills.
• Personal time management and organization skills.
• Construction contractor management skills.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel on short notice.

Job Description

The OSP Inspector will be responsible to ensure that all the client’s underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet the current standards through inspections, and corrections work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually by the use of printed spreadsheets. Familiarity in using mapping/GPS technology.

Qualifications

• Previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew
• Previous experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
