StarTech Networks Inc. is seeking an OSP Field Engineer to perform field surveys, document poles and UG paths, validate routes, and capture GPS coordinates for fiberoptic projects.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, take photos of pole tags, records in KMZ/Google Earth formats, and collaborate with Project Managers to address constructability issues and permitting. Must have a valid driver's license, be legally eligible to work in the United States, and be able to use GIS tools to read

Qualifications

• Experience in OSP fielding, telecommunications construction, or utility surveying preferred.
• AT&T exposure or GPON design knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to capture GPS coordinates and measure field data accurately.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Perform field walks to document poles, UG paths, utilities, ROW boundaries, and site conditions.
• Capture photos of pole tags, heights, cable labels, MPOE, handholes, anchors, clearances, and obstructions.
• Measure spans, attachment heights, mid-span clearances, and record GPS coordinates.
• Take detailed field notes following OSP design principles and maintain route documentation.
• Convert field notes into Google Earth/KMZ format (preferred).
• Identify constructability issues, easements, utility conflicts, and permitting requirements.
• Upload and manage field data using platforms such as Katapult Pro or IQGEO.
• Communicate field findings with Project Managers, Engineering teams, and other stakeholders.
