Job summary

Kinetic, a business unit of Uniti, seeks an OSP Construction Inspector I/II to oversee and inspect outside plant telecom construction. The role collaborates with contractors, engineers, and officials to ensure safe, compliant, on-time project delivery across multiple sites.

This safety-sensitive position requires travel and meticulous documentation. The ideal candidate has knowledge of OSP engineering prints, strong communication, and the ability to interpret complex project requirements.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering or related field or 0-2 years professional experience; or 4+ years related experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to interpret and correct OSP engineering prints.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with contractors and engineers to review and correct work prints.
• Conduct pre-construction site walks with contractors to assess constructability.
• Identify potential issues and provide recommendations for smooth project execution.
• Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations per permits.
• Oversee OSP construction projects from delivery to completion.
• Monitor project progress and address issues during construction.
• Review permits and check prints for requirements affecting the project.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and regular status reports.
• Travel to various construction sites 50-80% of the time.
