Job summary

Astreya is seeking an experienced OSP Outside Plant Fiber Optic Engineer to design, implement, and maintain fiber networks. You will apply OTDR analysis, GIS-based systems, and industry tools to ensure reliable, high-performance networks while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

The role emphasizes project management, documentation, and adherence to standards. You will lead multiple projects, review splice matrices for accuracy, and develop MOPs/SOWs to support successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years field experience or a related Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Experience with OTDR testing and fiber management systems is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.
• Strong documentation and reporting capabilities for MOPs, SOWs, and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Fiber administration to maintain and enhance the fiber network.
• OTDR testing and analysis to ensure fiber integrity and performance.
• GIS-based management for network planning and record accuracy.
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams for task delivery.
• Lead multiple projects, monitor progress with dashboards and OKRs.
• Review splice matrices for accuracy and maintain data integrity across tools.
• Organize and lead cross-functional meetings; mentor team members.
• Utilize industry tools (FIM, GIS platforms) for design and documentation.
• Create and maintain MOPs, SOWs, and SOPs; provide regular project updates.
