Job summary

Ezee Fiber is seeking an entry-level Engineer I, OSP Engineering to support planning, design, and implementation of outside plant infrastructure. You will assist in creating construction plans, engineering documentation, and conducting field surveys to support network builds, upgrades, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate has foundational OSP design knowledge and a desire to grow within a dynamic engineering team, with opportunities to work in the field and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred; internships or co-op experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and drafting of fiber routes using GIS, CAD.
• Support field data collection including site surveys and pole/underground assessments.
• Interpret construction prints, permits, and municipal right-of-way requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and utilities to ensure accurate OSP design and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design drawings, BOMs, and redlines.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, local ordinances, and safety regulations.
• Track project progress and support issue resolution under supervision of senior engineers.
• Provide technical support during construction and post-construction validation.
