Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a leading telecommunications provider, seeks an OSP Bandwidth Augments Planner to identify and initiate network augmentation projects that expand bandwidth and reliability across the OSP network.

You will review capacity data, develop planning-level scopes and estimates, and partner with cross-functional teams to secure funding and transition approved work into engineering and construction. This role drives growth and service quality for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications outside plant planning, engineering, or related infrastructure work.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience preparing project scopes and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Review bandwidth utilization, customer demand, service growth, and network capacity data to identify areas requiring augmentation
• Develop OSP planning solutions for new equipment placement or fiber reinforcement
• Confirm available core infrastructure capacity with Core Planners
• Create planning-level scopes and cost estimates using applicable tools
• Initiate funding requests and support approval processes for proposed projects

Position Summary: This role identifies, plans, and initiates OSP network augmentation projects that expand bandwidth capacity, improve service reliability, and support customer growth across the OSP network. The planner evaluates existing network infrastructure, develops cost-effective augmentation solutions, prepares planning-level scopes and estimates, and partners with cross-functional teams to secure funding and transition approved work into engineering and construction. The position supports bandwidth growth by translating capacity needs into funded, executable OSP augmentation projects.
