Job summary

Mountain Ltd. is seeking an OSP Construction Inspector in Sandpoint, ID. The role focuses on ensuring underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities meet current standards through inspections conducted by contractors.

The inspector will document all inspections electronically and communicate via email and cell phone. Willingness to travel with a valid driver’s license is required; familiarity with GPS mapping is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience performing NESC inspections or working on an aerial cable line crew.
• Experience with wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficiency with OSP Construction Standards and familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Proficient Microsoft Windows XP, Excel and Outlook.
• Comfort with internet usage, web page browsing, and mapping/GPS technology.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The OSP Inspectorwill be responsible to ensure that all the client’s underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet the current standards through inspections, and corrections work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email, and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually by the use of printed spreadsheets. Familiarity in using mapping/GPS technology.
Qualifications:

• Previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew

• Previous experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.

• Must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards

• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.

• Computer experience:

• Microsoft Windows XP, Exceland Outlook

• Familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing.

• Good communication skills.

• Personal time management and organization skills.

• Construction contractor management skills.

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel on short notice.

Pay: $32/hour, commensurate with experience
