Job summary

Mountain Ltd. is seeking an OSP Construction Inspector in Sandpoint, ID. The role focuses on ensuring underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities meet current standards through inspections conducted by contractors.

The inspector will document all inspections electronically and communicate via email and cell phone. Willingness to travel with a valid driver’s license is required; familiarity with GPS mapping is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience performing NESC inspections or working on an aerial cable line crew.
• Experience with wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficiency with OSP Construction Standards and familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Proficient Microsoft Windows XP, Excel and Outlook.
• Comfort with internet usage, web page browsing, and mapping/GPS technology.

Responsibilities

• Inspect underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities to ensure standards are met.
• Document inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically; communicate via email and cellular phone.
• Occasionally perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually using printed spreadsheets; use mapping/GPS tools.
