Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Buyer - OSP at the Camarillo, CA facility. You will manage outside process buying, supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance to ensure timely, cost-effective supply. Prior SAP experience and aerospace exposure are valued.

The role emphasizes analyzing costs, maintaining MRP health, and expediting critical orders while aligning with Global Commodity Management strategies. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of experience in a Supply Chain, manufacturing environment.
• 1 year of experience with SAP.
• Reside within 50 miles of Camarillo, CA.

Responsibilities

• Quote and buy assigned purchased parts for the site.
• Control inventory by analyzing MOQ vs consumption.
• Analyze PPV and report causes with action plans.
• Maintain MRP health by aligning PO dates/quantities.
• Run daily MRP report and manage PO actions (Place, Reschedule, Cancel).
• Resolve PO/Invoice discrepancies promptly.
• Process supplier RMAs.
• Track PO progress and adjust plans for schedule changes.
• Expedite critical orders and escalate with supply chain team.
• Experience buying diverse categories and surface treatment.
• Inform management of production problems and solutions.
• Experience in Aerospace/Military plants or ETO/low volume/high mix.
• Negotiate contracts (MSA, Eaton forms) per Global Commodity Strategy.
• Calculate TCA and prepare cost comparisons incl. freight, duties, FX.
• Perform make-vs-buy analyses and sensitivity to cost factors.
• Model Eaton ethics and comply with policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
