Job summary

Control Risks is seeking an Online Threat Intelligence Researcher to support a major client. You will conduct open-source intelligence research focusing on Person of Interest research and provide persistent situational awareness for employee and client safety.

The role involves monitoring alerts, deeper investigations, and actionable insights to incident response. The position offers hybrid work in the United States, opportunities to produce written reports, and collaboration with Corporate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in history, political science, international relations, intelligence analysis, criminal justice, regional studies, or a related discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in intelligence, travel security, protective intelligence, security analysis, threat management, risk management or a related field.
• Proven ability to synthesize raw data from multiple sources into a finished product.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, and assess high-volume intelligence alerts from OSINT and security platforms.
• Conduct deeper-dive investigations and provide actionable insights to support incident response.
• Support response efforts for incidents impacting remote employees and travelers.
• Refine search queries and alerting frameworks to reduce noise and improve intelligence quality.
• Produce written reports outlining findings from threat monitoring and OSINT research.
• Partner with Corporate Security leadership to prioritize alerts and enhance processes.
