Job summary

Control Risks in the United States is seeking an Online Threat Intelligence Researcher to support a major client. The role conducts open-source intelligence research focusing on Person of Interest investigations and supports executive protection, employee and travel safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring and triaging high-volume alerts, performing deeper-dive threat investigations, and producing concise written reports with actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in history, political science, international relations, intelligence analysis, or related discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in intelligence, travel security, protective intelligence, security analysis, threat management, or related field.
• Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into actionable intelligence.
• Practical knowledge of OSINT collection and threat analysis.
• Ability to prepare concise written reports with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with deep/dark web threat landscape preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, and assess high-volume intelligence alerts from OSINT platforms.
• Conduct deeper-dive investigations and provide actionable insights.
• Support incident response and remote employee travel safety.
• Refine search queries and alerting frameworks to reduce noise.
• Produce written reports outlining findings from OSINT research.
• Collaborate with Corporate Security leadership to prioritize alerts and improve processes.
