Signal and Strand is seeking an OSHPD/HCAI Superintendent to lead on‑site supervision for healthcare facility projects in Northern California. This hands‑on role requires coordinating trades, enforcing OSHPD/HCAI standards, and maintaining schedules with weekly look‑ahead reports.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years as a Commercial Superintendent, 3+ OSHPD 3 experiences, and be willing to travel up to 50%.
About the Job
We are partnered with a construction firm specializing in OSHPD/HCAI-regulated healthcare facility projects on the search for an OSHPD/HCAI Superintendent. This role provides hands‑on, on‑site supervision and management of construction work across all trades and vendors, ensuring projects are delivered to the company’s standards for quality, safety, and schedule.
Communication, team building, problem‑solving, and leadership are core to this role. The position may require travel up to 50% of the time, along with night and weekend work as project schedules require.
The Mandate
This organization is clear about what it is—and is not—seeking.
They are not looking for someone who simply manages a schedule from a trailer.
They are seeking a hands‑on superintendent: someone who can build trust with inspectors and subcontractors on‑site, hold every trade accountable to OSHPD/HCAI compliance, and step in to self‑perform work when needed to keep a project moving.
