Job summary

South Carolina Department of Transportation (District 1 OSHA) seeks a Training Coordinator to oversee district-wide OSHA training needs, manage LMS records, and coordinate CDL-related training for new hires. The role involves data entry, reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance across facilities.

You will work with state vendors, maintain training calendars, and support safety initiatives for employees across the district, with occasional overtime during emergencies or hazardous weather.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant program experience, or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage district-wide OSHA training needs.
• Maintain training records in LMS and run reports.
• Coordinate training for equipment operators with State Contract vendors.
• Enter trainee data and issue certificates as needed.
• Ensure CDL online training and CDL requirements for new hires are met.
• Maintain compliance data in risk management systems and assist with reports.
• Plan and schedule safety training events and maintain calendars.
• Conduct facility inspections for OSHA and environmental regs.
