Dan Osborn for U.S. Senate is hiring a highly organized, motivated Finance Assistant to support the candidate’s fundraising operation and help drive the campaign’s finance goals in what will be one of the closely-watched races in the country. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and enthusiastic to learn fundraising skills. This position reports to the Finance Director.
Responsibilities include:
Data Organization & Tracking: Maintain and update donor databases, event trackers, and general donation tracking lists;
Donor Research & Prospecting: Identify, research, and prioritize prospective donors, both in-state and nationally;
Follow-Up Execution: Timely and accurately track all pledges, commitments, and follow-up tasks;
General Assistance: Assist in general tasks that may be needed of the finance team in a timely and organized manner.
Coordinate with the campaign’s Finance Director and fundraising consultant on strategy, scheduling and execution of plans;
Assist in recruiting, training, managing, and maintaining finance interns and volunteers;
Work closely with the Call Time Manager and Deputy Finance Director to assist in the thank-you letter program and ensure donor acknowledgements are sent promptly;
Assist in preparing detailed briefing materials for fundraising meetings and events;
Staff fundraising events and assist with event logistics as needed.
Qualifications:
This is a full-time, in-person position in Nebraska that will end when the campaign concludes in November 2026. You will collaborate with colleagues who are based across Nebraska. Campaign hours are expected of any successful candidate.
This is a salaried position that will be compensated between $3,500 - $4,500 per month, based on experience. Moving expenses will be reimbursed for candidates from outside of Nebraska.
