Brunel is hiring an OSBL HSE Advisor to work with an Oil and Gas client onsite in Louisiana on a long term contract.
Overview
The OSBL HSE Advisor supports the safe execution of Outside Battery Limits (OSBL) construction activities on an LNG project. The role ensures compliance with project HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and contractor HSE plans while promoting a strong safety culture across site operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce HSE compliance across OSBL construction areas (utilities, tank farms, pipe racks, roads, infrastructure).
- Conduct regular site inspections and intervene on unsafe acts or conditions.
- Review and verify risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work activities.
- Oversee high-risk activities including lifting, hot work, confined space entry, work at height, and excavation.
- Participate in incident reporting and investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions.
- Support environmental compliance, including waste management and spill prevention.
- Promote proactive hazard reporting and continuous safety improvement.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in HSE or related discipline.
- 5+ years HSE experience in major industrial construction projects, preferably LNG or Oil & Gas.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
- Excellent communication and field engagement skills.
