Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a Senior Occupational Safety and Health professional to lead and direct the national OSH program. You will advise leadership on safety issues, assist in investigations, and help develop policies and training to reduce risk across CBP facilities.

This position requires extensive expertise in safety management, incident analysis, and disaster response planning, with responsibilities spanning HQ and field components.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate education in safety or occupational health or related fields with 24 hours of related study.
• Experience in safety/occupational health programs and policy development.
• Ability to analyze data, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct occupational safety and health program activities.
• Provide expert guidance on national OSH programs and initiatives.
• Advise management on responding to unsafe or unhealthy working conditions and investigations.
• Act as FER0 for safety and contribute to emergency planning.
• Develop and improve CBP's safety management framework.
