Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a fabrication technician to craft and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices. You will work closely with clinicians and patients, focusing on the fabrication process in a small workshop away from the exam room, using hand tools and machines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record as per policy.
• Technical training or 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices.
• Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses and related items.
• Provide education to patients on application, use, care, and expected outcomes for DME products.
• Contact vendors to order fabrication materials and maintain inventory.
