Zusammenfassung

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a fabrication specialist to build and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices in a workshop setting. You will work with clinicians and patients to adjust devices, focusing on the fabrication process and safe handling of tools. Prior hand tool experience and mechanical aptitude are essential.

You will manage inventory, order materials, and provide patient education on device use and outcomes, following physician instructions and manufacturer guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum: high school diploma or GED; technical training preferred or 2 years’ experience.
• Hands-on fabrication and repair of orthotic/prosthetic devices using hand tools.
• Ability to follow physician instructions and safety guidelines.

Aufgaben

• Use hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic/prosthetic devices.
• Perform ordering, receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses and related items.
• Educate patients on application, use, care and outcomes for DME products.
• Contact vendors to order fabrication materials and maintain inventory.
