Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to create and modify orthotics and evaluate patients of all ages, adjusting plan of care as needed. You will serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students, delivering compassionate care.

The role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for candidates moving 50+ miles; licensure and BLS are required, with ongoing education in acute stroke care to maintain program standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete required continuing education on acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with safe body mechanics.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Designs an appropriate plan of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examination and selects reliable examination methods relevant to the chief complaint.
• Documents in EMR per policy and CPT/CTSCP67 requirements.
• Applies therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, interferential, iontophoresis.
• Communicates with referring provider on patient progress and treatment recommendations.
