Job summary
Mercyhealth seeks an Orthotics and Prosthetics Specialist to evaluate patients, develop individualized plans, cast and fit devices, and educate patients on device use. You will collaborate with physicians and cross-clinic staff to ensure high-quality care.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (or 2–3 years related experience) and a licensure in Illinois or Wisconsin, plus CPR certification. This on-site role offers a comprehensive Mercyhealth benefits package and career growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or 2–3 years related experience.
- Licensed to practice Orthotics and/or Prosthetics in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
- CPR certification required.
Responsibilities
- Review referrals and patient records to determine orthotic management.
- Obtain patient history and assess conditions during evaluation.
- Cast measurements, select materials, and fabricate or adjust devices.
- Evaluate devices for fit, function and comfort; instruct patients in use.
- Supervise staff and conduct training for students and staff.
- Coordinate care with physicians and other clinics.
