Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking an Orthotic Technician to provide on-site customer service and assist certified practitioners with orthotic fitting based on physician prescriptions. You will support Orthotic Fitters, deliver devices, and educate clients to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include evaluating patient needs, performing fittings, and maintaining precise clinical notes while adhering to regulatory guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 1 year of customer service experience in a HME/health care setting, medical office, sports rehab, fitness, or retail environment is required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Supports orthotic practitioners in evaluating patient needs for orthotic services.
• Under supervision, examines and evaluates patient needs to meet physician prescriptions.
• Performs fitting and minor modifications under supervision of an Orthotic Fitter or Physician.
• Assists orthotic fitters in evaluating device fit, function, and quality of work.
• Instructs patients in the use of prescribed devices.
• Carries out treatment using rehabilitation equipment with proper instruction and competency.
• On-call responsibilities during non-business hours as required by company policy.
• Maintains patient records with detailed clinical notes.
