Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking an RN for the 6N Medical/Surgical Orthopaedics unit in Los Angeles, CA. This full-time, non-exempt position features 12-hour day shifts and a union environment.

The RN will provide comprehensive care within an interdisciplinary team, following nursing processes, coordinating patient education, and ensuring adherence to unit policies and safety standards. Qualifications include a BSN (or grandfathered), at least 1 year of acute inpatient RN experience in the US,

Qualifications

• BSN required unless grandfathered before 12/2019.
• 1 year acute inpatient hospital RN experience in the United States.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken, read, and written).
• Knowledge of medical procedures and conditions; ability to follow policies and perform duties including blood collection and apheresis procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication and IV therapies at prescribed intervals.
• Completes nursing assessments upon admission, at each shift, and with change of condition.
• Develops and updates plans of care with appropriate interventions and expected outcomes.
• Ensures documentation is complete on nursing flow sheets and care plans.
