Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health seeks an Orthopedics Registered Nurse for a night-shift role at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey. You will join a collaborative team, perform comprehensive assessments, administer care and medications, document in EPIC, and support transitions in care while advancing professional growth and patient outcomes.
The position offers a 12.5-hour night schedule, with 37.5 hours weekly, and a competitive hourly pay range.
Qualifications
- Must hold an active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
- BSN strongly preferred; prior patient care experience valued.
- Experience with EMR systems, preferably EPIC, is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
- Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
- Partner with physicians and providers for timely care decisions.
- Educate patients and families to ensure understanding of next steps.
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record for continuity.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and smooth care transitions.
- Collaborate in a highly team-based environment to improve outcomes.
- Pursue continuing education and clinical ladder opportunities.
