Located in Austin, MN, 40 miles to Rochester and 120 miles to Minneapolis, a Health System in Austin/Albert Lea, Minnesota, is seeking a full-time general Orthopedic Surgeon (1.0 FTE) to join a highly respected, physician-led multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate would specialize in general orthopedic surgery with a strong interest in providing a comprehensive range of orthopedic services.
Practice Highlights:
- Join an established and thriving orthopedic surgery practice.
- Collaborate with two other Orthopedic Surgeons and three NP/PA providers when fully staffed.
- Offer a broad array of orthopedic services, from acute musculoskeletal injury management to total joint replacements.
- Be a team leader and collaborative healthcare provider.
- Share call duties, work closely with multi-specialty group members, and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Opportunities for leadership roles and academic appointments are available if desired.
Practice Details:
- Provide full-spectrum orthopedic care with subspecialty support for complex cases.
- Clinic locations in Austin and Albert Lea, MN.
- Elective procedures performed Monday through Friday until 4:00 pm.
- Work with a strong primary care network across four clinics, a sports medicine-trained physician, orthopedic PA, and support staff.
- Access to top-notch equipment, robotic systems, and vendor support for implants.
- Surgical cases range from soft tissue repairs to large bone fractures and total joint replacements (knees, hips, shoulders).
- On-site and nearby rehabilitation services.
- Support from a robust Emergency Department capable of managing fractures, dislocations, and stabilization.
- Focus on delivering exceptional quality outcomes, including total joint success rates, Medicare star ratings, and NSQUIP metrics.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Minnesota.
- Supervision of advanced practice clinicians is expected.
- Outreach services may be part of the role.
