Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking a Nursing Unit Educator to enhance patient care and foster a strong learning environment for nursing staff. The role combines direct patient care with development and evaluation of educational programs for the unit team.

The position requires a BSN or equivalent, NC RN licensure, and at least 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with MSN and nursing education experience preferred. This is a full-time onsite role within the Orthopedics unit.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN required or equivalent experience; MSN preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN license in NC.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience; nursing education experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS and specialty nursing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: provide comprehensive patient care with guidance to maintain quality standards.
• Educational Duties: develop and deliver orientation, continuing education, and competency assessments for nursing staff.
• Clinical Leadership: serve as clinical expert and resource for staff to uphold high nursing standards.
• Collaboration: work with clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to identify learning needs.
• Mentorship: guide nursing staff through coaching and feedback.
