Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa is seeking a Practice Administrator for Orthopedics and Neurosurgery at the Concourse Center. This full-time, salaried role leads day-to-day operations for multiple physician practices, overseeing budgets, onboarding new physicians and staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in healthcare or business with 3+ years in medical group leadership; a master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business; Master’s degree preferred
• 3 years leadership experience in medical group management, healthcare leadership, population health management, or transformation leadership
• Preference given for physician practice–specific health delivery experience

Responsibilities

• Provides management and leadership of assigned practices of varying complexity that support more than 10 assigned practices or more than 20 physicians.
• Oversees the utilization management and daily business operations to include financial, operational, administrative and regulatory compliance.
• Assists Director, Operations BMG in preparing operating budgets and capital budget requests, setting up new practices and on-boarding new physicians and staff, managing physician departures, and office moves/closures, mentoring peers, and special projects as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business; Master’s degree preferred

3 years leadership experience in medical group management, healthcare leadership, population health management, or transformation leadership

Preference for physician practice–specific health delivery experience
