Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is recruiting a Board-Certified/Eligible orthopedic surgeon for a full-time hand surgery position in Hobart, IN.

The role focuses on comprehensive care of the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow with advanced arthroscopic techniques and a combination of surgical and clinic duties. The ideal candidate holds Indiana medical licensure, CSR/DEA, and demonstrates proficiency in arthroscopic methods, with collaboration across athletic trainers and physical therapists.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in orthopedic surgery.
• Unrestricted Indiana medical license and CSR/DEA registration.
• Proficient in general orthopedic procedures and arthroscopic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for hand, wrist, forearm and elbow conditions.
• Perform complex hand and upper extremity procedures including tendon repairs and nerve decompression.
• Conduct patient evaluations for chronic conditions such as arthritis and Dupuytren's contracture.
• Manage acute upper extremity trauma including revascularization and replantation when applicable.

Job Type : Full-time Monday - Friday, flexible work schedule
Location: Hobart, IN

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow
• Clinic patients per day: 30
• Call Rotation: 1:6
• Perform complex hand and upper extremity surgeries, including tendon repairs, nerve decompression (carpal tunnel), fracture fixation, and microvascular procedures
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations for chronic conditions such as arthritis, Dupuytren's contracture, and congenital hand differences
• Manage acute upper extremity trauma, including revascularization and replantation where applicable
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques for wrist and small joint procedures

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Demonstrated proficiency in general orthopedic procedures and arthroscopic techniques
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with athletic trainers and physical therapists
