Workforce Recruiter is assisting a premier Northwest Indiana healthcare provider in Hobart, IN, to recruit a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. The role offers a full-time schedule, Monday–Friday with a flexible plan, and a tech-forward environment including EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation.

The practice supports 30 clinic patients per day, a 1:6 call rotation, and competitive compensation aligned with MGMA benchmarks.

Formación

• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery or eligibility.
• Indiana medical license and CSR/DEA registration.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation.
• Strong collaboration with athletic trainers and physical therapists.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for hand, wrist, forearm and elbow.
• Clinic patients per day: 30.
• Handle call rotation 1:6.
• Perform complex hand and upper extremity surgeries including tendon repairs, nerve decompression, fracture fixation, microvascular procedures.
• Evaluate chronic conditions such as arthritis and Dupuytren's contracture.
• Manage acute upper extremity trauma including revascularization/replantation when applicable.
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive/arthroscopic techniques for wrist and small joints.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow
• Clinic patients per day: 30
• Call Rotation: 1:6
• Perform complex hand and upper extremity surgeries, including tendon repairs, nerve decompression (carpal tunnel), fracture fixation, and microvascular procedures
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations for chronic conditions such as arthritis, Dupuytren's contracture, and congenital hand differences
• Manage acute upper extremity trauma, including revascularization and replantation where applicable
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques for wrist and small joint procedures

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Demonstrated proficiency in general orthopedic procedures and arthroscopic techniques
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with athletic trainers and physical therapists
