Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support outpatient clinic operations. Under RN supervision, you will assist with examinations, record vital signs, prepare treatment rooms, and maintain patient records.

You will also triage calls and help coordinate appointments and referrals, ensuring timely patient flow. The role requires CMA certification through AMT/AAMA/NHA/NCCT and a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred CMA experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• Six months CMA/RMA experience (for CMA II).
• Certification through AMT/AAMA/NHA/NCCT as CCMA/CMA/NAHP/NCCT.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and input data into medical records.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and cleanliness.
• Triage calls, coordinate appointments and referrals as needed.
• Monitor and distribute medications, including samples and controlled substances.
