Medical University of South Carolina operates MUSC Health, seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support an outpatient clinic. The CMA will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and assist physicians with examinations, vital signs, and patient education, while preparing treatment rooms and maintaining patient records.

Responsibilities include triaging patients, scheduling, educating patients about diagnoses and medications, and communicating care plans.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• Six months CMA/RMA experience for CMA II is required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains and reviews patient records, charts and pertinent information and communicates plan of care.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information to medical records.
• Prepares examination rooms and maintains clinical equipment per OSHA/DHEC/UMA.
• Instructs patients on treatment and medication as directed by physician and assists with exams and procedures.
• Triages patients and supports scheduling, referrals, and patient education as needed.
