Responsibilities

• Obtain and submit prior authorizations for imaging, procedures, DME, PT/OT, medications, and other services.
• Review orders and payer requirements to ensure requests are complete and accurate.
• Monitor pending requests and follow up to prevent delays in patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of authorization activity and communications.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, and facilities to resolve authorization issues.
• Prioritize requests based on urgency, payer requirements, and service date.
