Job summary

MercyOne Genesis is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a growing team at a Level III Trauma Center. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focusing on trauma care with autonomy and strong institutional support.

Ideal candidates have fellowship training in Orthopedic Traumatology orAdult Reconstruction/Total Joint Arthroplasty and ABOS board eligibility. The role offers inpatient focus with a predictable Monday–Friday schedule and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Traumatology or adult reconstruction/total joint arthroplasty.
• ABOS Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Ability to obtain Iowa and Illinois medical licenses.
• Strong clinical and surgical skill set with a commitment to quality and evidence-based care.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Open to graduating fellows and experienced surgeons.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic trauma care in a Level III trauma center.
• Collaborate with trauma, anesthesia, orthopedics and critical care teams.
• Manage 100% inpatient care with a Monday–Friday schedule.
• Share evening and weekend call (1:8).
