Job summary
MercyOneGenesis is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon to join a growing team and lead a comprehensive sports medicine program in a dynamic community. Youll provide advanced arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, and cartilage restoration for athletes and active adults.
Youll work with a strong referral network, dedicated OR access, and robust APP support to ensure immediate case volume and long-term success.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree and board eligibility/certification
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine required
- ABOS board certification or board eligibility required
- Ability to obtain Iowa and Illinois medical licenses
- Strong arthroscopic and open sports surgery skills (shoulder, knee; hip optional)
- Excellent communication and a team-focused mindset
- Open to graduating fellows and experienced surgeons
Responsibilities
- Join as a foundational member to build and grow a premier sports medicine program
- Perform advanced arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, and cartilage restoration
- Provide comprehensive care for athletes and active adults
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support outcomes and growth
